MEDIA RELEASE – SEXUAL MISCONDUCT REPORTS

The Education Labour Relations Council is aware of the media reports on the suspension of two educators, one in the Eastern Cape from Khoto Primary School and the other from Tongaat Secondary School in KwaZulu-Natal, based on alleged sexual misconduct.

As stipulated in Collective Agreement No. 3 of 2018, the matters will be dealt with in the ELRC through an arbitration process (Inquiry by the Arbitrator), once the Department has concluded its internal processes.
