Farewell to a dedicated teacher

South Africans bid a sad farewell to the country’s longest serving teacher, Ms Nonsikelelo Qwelane, who worked as a teacher for 79 years. We celebrate her life as she personified the true nature of a passionate teacher. Her life’s work reminds us that the teacher’s contribution to society transcends the classroom. Her legacy will remain firmly entrenched in our hearts and that of the educated professionals that she taught.
