The Council revised the Personnel Administrative Measures (PAM) for educators in the 2015/16 financial year. The Revised PAM was subsequently gazetted by the Minister of Basic Education in February 2016. The Revised PAM is a significant document for educators, as the amendments in the PAM will ensure consistent implementation of provisions throughout the nine Provincial Departments of Education.
As part of the Council’s endeavour to contribute to the improved quality of basic education, the ELRC entered into an Agreement with Juta Publishers for the publication and dissemination of the PAM. According to the agreement, each school that purchases Juta’s Education Law and Policy Handbook in print and/or electronic format will receive a 20% discount. In respect of the print version, this discount applies to purchases of the main volume as well as any revision services.
