DETAILS OF HEARING AND REPRESENTATION

The matter was set down for an arbitration hearing on 21 April 2021. The arbitration was conducted via zoom. The Applicant submitted a dispute regarding an enforcement matter to the ELRC. The Applicant was represented by Ms A Witbooi of NAPTOSA. The Respondent was represented by Ms A Slabbert of the Department of Education EC.

It is common cause that the Applicant was appointed at the Parkside Primary School in the Eastern Cape effective 1 April 2020. It is also common cause that the Applicant was not paid his salary for April and May 2020. The parties agreed that the amount due to the Applicant is R46 672.00 minus normal salary deductions.

ORDER

The Respondent is ordered to pay the Applicant the amount of R46 672.00 minus normal salary deductions on or before 25 May 2021.
